Q. Do you ship your cakes?
A. The Hudson Cakery cannot ship our cakes as they are too fragile.

Q. Where do you deliver and how much is it?
A. We deliver anywhere in NJ, NY, Eastern PA and CT. Delivery charges are a flat fee based on location.

Q. What do you cover your cakes with?
A. Every cake is covered with a swiss meringue buttercream or ganache, then a very thin layer of rolled fondant for a polished look.

Q. How much are your cakes?
A. Because each cake is custom made for each event, there is no general price list for our creations. Anything that can feed 50 guests or less usually has a flat fee. Each cake that feeds more than 50 guests is priced per slice. Our cakes range from $6 to $15/slice and increase depending on detail. Because of the detail and attention we give to each order, we must require a minimum of $300 on all of our cakes.

Q. Is a deposit necessary to reserve my wedding/event date?
A. Yes, a 50% deposit is needed to reserve your order. All deposits are non-refundable so please be sure you want to work with us.

Q. How far in advance should I order a cake?
A. The sooner the better – but we suggest at least 3 to 6 months in advance for wedding orders. We’d be happy to accommodate last minute orders if our schedule allows.

Q. Do you offer tastings to potential clients?
A. Yes but only for cake orders that will serve 100 or more. You and one guest may sample up to 5 cakes & 5 filling options. We bake to order each cake tasting plate so we do need at least 3 business days notice. Tastings are $25.

Q. Do you make cupcakes & cookies?
A. YES! We bake cupcakes in all flavors and are famous for stuffing them with any filling you like – perfect for showers, weddings or birthdays! Two dozen minimum – $3 each. We also create gluten-free & vegan cupcakes! Our sugar decorated cookies are very popular for favors as well and average between $3 – $6 each.
