It was ironic timing that the day after I left the Dreamers into Doers (DID) NYC event, it was announced that I was the “Doer of the Week!”
Each week, a new female is chosen and interviewed by the DID staff to see who’s pursuing their passion successfully. And they chose me. ME?! What!
You can read my interview here.
Here’s the newsletter sent out to all the Martha’s Dreamers:
I have to pinch myself that my face has been on the left side of the DID home page all week!
Since the announcement, I’ve been bombarded with messages of support, congrats and encouragement from my wonderful DID ladies, friends and family.
But I received a handful of emails — like below — which really amazed me:
I wanted to send you an email after reading about you in Martha’s email. I’ve been out of work for about 4 months now and sort of felt discouraged about the dreams that I’ve had. Part of had given up and the other discouraged. I wanted to let you know that reading about your story gave me the inspiration to focus and know that things might seem unattainable right now but they will pay off in the end. I hope you have a lot of success.
See Dreamers…we really can be an inspiration to each other!
I believe this quote sums it up best…
You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one – John Lennon
Shout out to ALL dreamers everywhere!
